Mohan Beltangady is currently the Head of Statistics for the Primary Care Business Unit. He also continues as the Chief Statistician and Global Head of Statistics within Pfizer. As Head of the PC Statistics, he is responsible for ensuring optimum resourcing and technical excellence for the discipline for all projects within the the PC BU as well as providing leadership and mentoring for the PC BU statisticians. In his role as the Global Head of Statistics, Mohan works with the stat heads in other BUs and RUs to promote the innovation and implementation of best statistical practices to benefit all projects from Discovery through LOE and enable the deployment of The Statistical Research and Consulting Center colleagues for major drug development issues. Mohan is responsible for convening the Global Statistics Leadership Team, including the Statistics Heads across the BUs and Pfizer Research. Mohan is the originator, and with Liam Ratcliffe, a co-sponsor of the Enhanced Clinical Trial Design (ECTD) initiative. Beyond the measurable impact of savings, ECTD has reinvigorated clinical trial designs within Pfizer, ensuring the application of the highest quality innovative science while reducing the number of patients exposed to ineffective doses.
